Last night my husband and I went on a REAL DATE. Dinner and the Toby Keith concert. We had tickets in the 15th row. We were right in the action. We were even in an audience shot on the Jumbotron. The concert was amazing, but it just didn't feel right to be dancing with my belly hanging out there. Especially not near the "hoochie mamas" who almost disappeared when they turned sideways. The baby really started rockin' when Joe Nichols played the theme to Duke's of Hazzard. Then I knew it must be a boy! Then about halfway through Toby's set the baby was kicking to the beat of the song. Then I knew it must be a girl since there are no boys in our family with any rhythm! I hate the not knowing :) Arlen and I decided we were getting too old to do this very often when we were almost asleep in the car at midnight waiting for the parking lot to clear enough to get out. Sad, Sad, Sad.
Then this morning we turned around and took Jake to a gymnastics meet (just to watch). He was so excited, but Arlen and I had a hard time keeping up with him at 8:00 this morning. We figure this kind of meet is in our future. Jake is just mesmerized with watching the boys, especially on the rings. Only time will tell.
